Buchanan Hauling and Buchanan Specialized proudly took part in the annual IMTA Truck Rodeo.
The event was held June 6th through June 7th.
This exciting competition brings together top professional truck drivers from across the state.
Drivers test their knowledge, driving skills, and precision behind the wheel.
What Is the IMTA Truck Rodeo?
The IMTA Truck Rodeo is a professional driving event focused on safety and skill.
It helps highlight the importance of safe, responsible trucking on today’s roads.
Driver Qualification Requirements
To qualify, drivers must meet strict standards from the Truck Driving Championship (TDC).
- At least 1 full year of accident-free driving
- Active employment with their carrier for 12 months or more
- A valid DOT medical certification
- A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) based in the host state
How Drivers Compete
Drivers compete in three main areas.
- Written exam
- Pre-trip inspection test
- Skills course (driving precision challenge)
Each part is designed to show safe driving habits, awareness, and road knowledge.
